Advanced Dynamical Meteorology (Meteo 422)
Project Two: Systematic Class Review of Material

This project was designed to drive home the use of assumptions in this material and physical interpretation of waves and quasi-geostrophic theory. Students were divided into pairs and each pair was asked to review one of the major topic areas/methods we have used in class.

Sound wavesBill and Sean
Internal gravity wavesJohn and Tom
Rossby wavesScott and Allen
External gravity wavesBilly and Lacie
Inertial oscillationDave and James
Inertia-gravity wavesDominic and Josh
Quasi-geostrophic momentumDamon and Mark O.
Quasi-geostrophic vorticityTom and Don
Perturbation theoryAlex and Mark M.
Barotropic vorticityBen and Ken
Baroclinic vorticitySteve and Heidi

The reviews were to be presented in 2 pages. These were specified to be as follows:

Page 1: Assumptions and equations
Page 2: Physical interpretation

The final output of this assignment will be made into a set of ``super notes'' to be handed back to all students.
