Paul Markowski

My research group has been involved with both observational and numerical modeling studies of a wide range of convective storms and their attendant hazards.  We are driven by a desire to improve severe weather warnings. Doing so requires a better understanding of the governing dynamics of the convection. I have a broad range of teaching interests that includes synoptic meteorology, mesoscale meteorology, and atmospheric convection.
