Biography:
During his undergraduate years, Brandon researched the effects that the Olympic Mountains of Washington State have on frontal strength, propagation speed, and precipitation using Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) output. Now working with Paul Markowski, Brandon’s Penn State research direction is still evolving, but it will no doubt target an interesting problem in mesoscale meteorology or convective storms. After receiving his M.S. degree, Brandon intends either to join the National Weather Service or pursue a Ph.D. for a career in research. Outside of his classes and research, Brandon enjoys hiking, playing video games, and metal detecting.
