Academics
If you are currently enrolled at a Penn State Commonwealth Campus and pursuing a degree in Meteorology, please use the checksheets and course sequencing documents below to ensure you are taking the appropriate courses to finish your degree on time once you arrive at University Park. Simply following this recommended course sequencing can save you from spending an extra year in college and thousands of dollars!
Suggested Academic Plans
The University Bulletin provides suggested academic plans for students who enter Penn State as freshmen, want to major in Meteorology and Atmospheric Science, and begin at a campus other than University Park.
Checksheets
These checksheets apply to students whose Academic First Semester is Summer 2018 or after, updated summer 2022. If you need a copy of checksheets prior to these years, please contact Meteorology's academic adviser. Please use these checksheets as a guide with students' Academic Requirements and What-If Reports on LionPath. These are a tool, but should not be used for graduation checks.
For Meteorology First-Years who start at University Park Campus
For students who begin at a Penn State campus other than University Park
