Title
The Tornado Outbreak of May 31, 1985: Looking Back at One of Pennsylvania's Deadliest Weather Events
Description

Abstract:
We are only a few months away from the 40th anniversary of the May 31, 1985 tornado outbreak, in which 43 tornadoes devastated Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, and Ontario. It is not only the deadliest tornado outbreak in our state's history (89 fatalities, 1000+ injuries), but it is among the worst tornado disasters in U.S. history. My presentation will cover what happened that day and the meteorology behind it.
