The Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder seeks to hire a full-time Coordinator for research experience programs and training events within our Center for Education, Engagement and Evaluation (CEEE).
The Student Research Experience Coordinator will work closely with CEEE Program Managers on recruiting students for the research experience programs that we run, including summer-long and week-long programs, and virtual programs. The Coordinator will coordinate the recruitment and selection of students and mentors, plan logistics to run the research programs, coordinate with research partners and mentors, co-lead training programs and provide ongoing support for student participants in these programs. The Coordinator will further support online trainings and events, provide overall support across CEEE programs and manage CEEE’s undergraduate research student assistants. The duties for this position are varied and require an interest and ability in learning new skills, working within a research and education team and working across disciplines.
This work involves collaboration with project managers at CEEE and research mentors, the CEEE leadership team, the CEEE Director, and other staff. The ideal candidate will have a science background, experience working with students and engagement in mentoring activities. The ability to work collaboratively with scientists, educators, undergraduate and graduate students and other external partners is essential to this role.
